Carry Pack

For a typical walk in the woods I carry a small backpack.
My current pack list:

• Flashlight (for looking in holes by day and scanning by night)
• 12" ruler (to measure tracks)
• binoculars (useful for scanning shorelines for reptiles, looking for birds, etc.)
• Poncho
• First Aid Kit
• Extra Batteries
• Compass
